Expomecânica 2026 confirms growth of the DPF particulate filter cleaning and regeneration market

From 29 to 31 May 2026 we will be participating in a new edition of the Expomecânica, the main automotive aftermarket trade fair held in Portugal. During three intense days, from our space in the Hall 4 - Stand B07, We had the opportunity to meet with workshops, distributors, repair networks and professionals specialised in anti-pollution systems.

In addition to presenting our solutions, the trade fair allowed us to confirm a trend we have been observing for years: professional DPF cleaning and regeneration continues to grow throughout Europe and is establishing itself as an increasingly profitable line of business for workshops.

Expomecânica Oporto 2026

The particulate filter is now part of routine maintenance.

A few years ago, many garages regarded particulate filters as a complex component that was replaced when saturation problems occurred.

Today the situation is very different.

The increase in the fleet of diesel vehicles equipped with DPF systems, coupled with the high cost of replacing these components, has driven the demand for specialised cleaning and recovery services.

More and more workshops are looking for solutions that allow:

🔸 Recover saturated filters.

🔸 Reduce costs for your customers.

🔸 Avoid unnecessary substitutions.

🔸 Improve repair times.

🔸 Incorporate new high added-value services.

This evolution was one of the most recurrent themes during our participation in Expomecânica 2026.

Workshops seek new business opportunities

One of the most interesting aspects of the fair was to see how many workshops are expanding their services beyond traditional repairs.

Particulate filter cleaning has become a cost-effective alternative for increasing turnover using relatively compact installations and with a controlled investment.

During the event we were visited by independent garages, multi-brand networks, commercial vehicle specialists and distributors interested in incorporating DPF solutions into their business.

Most shared a common concern: to offer a cost-effective and efficient alternative to filter replacement.

Why is the demand for DPF filter cleaning growing?

There are several factors that explain this trend.

Increasing cost of new filters

Many original particulate filters command high prices, especially in commercial vehicles, heavy machinery and models equipped with complex aftertreatment systems.

Professional cleaning allows you to restore much of the filter's original capacity at a fraction of the replacement cost.

Increased awareness of preventive maintenance

Workshops and fleets are increasingly aware of the importance of keeping the anti-pollution system in top condition.

Timely cleaning can prevent major malfunctions and considerably extend the filter's service life.

More stringent environmental regulations

Emission control systems continue to be an essential element of modern vehicles.

Maintaining the particulate filter correctly helps to ensure compliance with the required emission levels and improves overall vehicle performance.

REVIVAL DPF solutions for specialised workshops

During Expomecânica we showed different technologies developed specifically for the maintenance and recovery of particulate filters together with IBERKLEEN and its solutions for the maintenance and recovery of particulate filters. ultrasonic cleaning of parts and systems for workshops.

DPF filter cleaning

Our cleaning machines allow the removal of ash, soot and contaminants accumulated inside the filter by controlled processes designed to maximise recovery without damaging the component.

Professional filter drying

An essential step after cleaning is drying.

The use of specific equipment ensures that the filter is fully prepared for subsequent installation or regeneration, reducing waiting times and improving workshop productivity.

Controlled thermal regeneration

Regeneration is an essential tool to remove certain residues accumulated in the filter.

Thermal regeneration systems allow this process to be carried out under controlled parameters, optimising results and reducing risks to the component.

Process diagnosis and control

Professional cleaning is not just about removing debris.

It is essential to know the actual condition of the filter before and after each intervention to ensure reliable results and transparency for the end customer.

An opportunity for automotive and commercial vehicle workshops

Although DPF cleaning has traditionally been associated with certain specialists, more and more general automotive workshops are incorporating this service.

The trend is particularly visible in:

🔸 Multibrand workshops.

🔸 Commercial vehicle.

🔸 Transport fleets.

🔸 Agricultural machinery.

🔸 Construction machinery.

🔸 Official services.

🔸 Centres specialising in emissions.

The ability to offer a quick and cost-effective solution creates new business opportunities and allows differentiation in an increasingly competitive market.

What we take away from Expomecânica 2026

Our participation in Expomecânica has allowed us to confirm that the DPF market continues to evolve and become more professional.

Workshops are looking for more efficient processes, measurable results and technologies that can offer a real alternative to component replacement.

At DPF REVIVAL We will continue to develop solutions aimed at facilitating this work, helping professionals to offer increasingly cost-effective and efficient cleaning, drying and regeneration services.

Thank you for visiting us

We would like to thank all the professionals, distributors and customers who visited our Stand B07 in Hall 4 during Expomecânica 2026.

The discussions held during the fair allow us to further improve our solutions and to continue to promote the professionalisation of the particulate filter cleaning and regeneration sector.

See you in the next edition.
